BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Yellowstone County officials say a man whose body was found at the site of a 50-acre fire north of Laurel may have been trying to put out the fire when he was overcome.

Sheriff Mike Linder says 66-year-old Leon N. Dudgeon died of smoke inhalation and burns.

His badly burned body was found last week. He lived in the area.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
