BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - A Gulfport man has been accused of breaking into his ex-wife’s Biloxi apartment, assaulting her and shooting another man.

23-year-old Brittney Mussa tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1JLh19o ) that her ex-husband, 25-year-old Jordan T. Mussa, broke in, entered her bedroom and started shooting, injuring her boyfriend of two months, who she says was trying to protect her. The woman’s 2-year-old daughter was not hurt.

Local media report that police arrived at the scene early Sunday morning and the unidentified boyfriend was taken to a local hospital with a minor gunshot wound.

Biloxi Lt. Chris De Back says tips from witnesses and those involved led to Jordan Mussa’s arrest. He is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated domestic assault and burglary.

It is not clear if the suspect has an attorney.
