PLACENTIA, Calif. (AP) - Orange County authorities say a boy apparently as young as 12 accompanied an armed man who robbed a Pizza Hut restaurant in Placentia.

Placentia police said the pair got away with a little more than $100 after the man used a handgun to hold up the restaurant just before closing Tuesday night.

Witnesses tell investigators the man wore a bandanna over his face and jumped over the counter, grabbed an employee and demanded cash.

Officials say the suspect then ran out the front door, which was held open by the boy.

No employees or customers were hurt.
