NORTH AMITYVILLE, N.Y. (AP) - Police have launched an investigation after they say someone threw “an incendiary device” through the window of a Long Island home.

Suffolk County Police say it happened early Wednesday morning in North Amityville.

There were four people in the home on Benburb Street at 12:45 a.m. when someone threw the object through a bedroom window.

No one was in the first-floor bedroom at the time.
