CODY, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has trapped and relocated an adult grizzly bear that had been killing cattle.

The Cody Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/1IoUv1y ) that the bear was captured for killing cattle on a Forest Service grazing allotment near Pinedale. The bear was relocated Sunday to about five miles from the east gate of Yellowstone National Park, at the site of a grizzly bear habitat.

Grizzly bears are listed as “Threatened” under the Endangered Species Act. Officials consulted with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the appropriate land management agency to minimize the chance of future conflicts with the bear.
