ATLANTA (AP) - Police say they’ve arrested a second suspect in a shooting that killed an elderly woman who was sitting on her porch playing cards.

Atlanta police say Dominique Lamonta Bryant was taken into custody this week on a felony murder warrant in connection with the death of 81-year-old Mildred Martin.

Police said earlier had apprehended 30-year-old Johnny Maurice Avery of Atlanta, also on a felony murder warrant.

Authorities have said Martin was playing spades on her porch on July 27 when she was struck by a stray bullet.

It’s unclear from jail records whether either suspect has an attorney who could be reached for comment.
