HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say five teenagers stole laptops after breaking into an elementary school in western Michigan.

The Grand Rapids Press reports (https://bit.ly/1Ead8Ez ) the teens, ages 13 to 16, were caught this week following the break-in early Tuesday at Rose Park Christian School in Ottawa County’s Holland Township.

Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett says a deputy on patrol spoke with three young people who were spotted running across the street from the school and thought their behavior was suspicious.

The break-in was reported shortly afterward.

Detectives executed a search warrant at a home of one of the teens and evidence was recovered. The stolen items also were found.

Breaking-and-entering charges are expected. Detectives also are investigating the possible involvement of the teens in other crimes in recent weeks.
