MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - More than 100 youth who are currently or were formerly in state care are participating in an all-day conference in New Hampshire.

Thursday’s conference is addressing the needs of older adolescents making the transition from “out of home care” to adulthood and independence. It’s being held at Manchester Community College.

This year’s keynote presentation will be provided by a foster care youth who will share his experiences.

Participants will learn how to obtain a college degree, get a job, choose a career, and other goals.
