KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - The Mohave County Courthouse turns 100 on Friday.

The building was commissioned in 1914 to replace an older wooden courthouse that had been operating in Kingman since 1887.

It was completed in 1915.

The World War I monument in front of the courthouse was unveiled in 1928.

The Kingman Daily Miner reports that as part of the courthouse’s centennial celebration, a ceremony will be held Friday morning to present a plaque and a time capsule.
