DENNIS, Mass. (AP) - The New England Aquarium has released four endangered sea turtles back into the ocean eight months after they were rescued on a Massachusetts beach.

WCVB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1HsQg36 ) the turtles were stranded last fall on Cape Cod due to hypothermia. They were successfully treated at the aquarium’s sea turtle hospital.

The turtles spent eight months being rehabilitated. They also suffered from severe pneumonia, orthopedic issues and impaired organ functions.

Only two of the 733 rescued sea turtles remain.
