ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York parks officials say they’ve completed $3.6 million of improvement projects for the beachfronts and a campground at parks in the Thousand Islands region.

The Wellesley Island and Grass Point state parks are located on the St. Lawrence River in Jefferson County.

At Wellesley Island, there’s a new bathhouse at the park’s swimming beach and an upgrade of an RV camping loop.

At Grass Point, the beach bathhouse has been replaced.

Officials say construction is also under way at Wilson Hill Wildlife Management Area in St. Lawrence County, spending $1 million to establish a wheelchair-accessible trail.
