LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A food pantry that has been serving the Lake Charles community for more than 30 years now needs the community’s help.

KPLC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1IlwuKM ) the Oak Park Food Pantry is trying to keep its shelves full and it’s in need of canned goods and other non-perishable items.

Pantry volunteers hope residents will help replenish the stock. Anyone wishing to help can bring food or monetary donations to the pantry located at 1611 17th Street, next to First Christian Church.
