LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A 53-year-old man had died after the scooter he was riding collided with another vehicle in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Journal Star (https://bit.ly/1KSqQko ) reports Alan L. Kitto died Wednesday afternoon. According to Lincoln police Capt. Jeri Roeder, Kitto was riding his scooter when an SUV pulled into his path. Kitto, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday.

Police said that no citations had been issued as of Wednesday night.
