GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - A record number of University of North Dakota students are eligible to take part in the school’s summer commencement.

The graduation ceremony is 3 p.m. Friday in the Chester Fritz Auditorium on campus. UND says 547 students are eligible to get their diplomas, surpassing the previous high of 532 in 2006.

UND President Robert Kelley will preside over his eighth and final summer commencement ceremony. He’s retiring in January.
