SAN DIEGO (AP) - San Diego County sheriff’s officials say a prisoner who walked away from a minimum-security camp two months ago has been arrested in Mexico and returned to the U.S.

Sgt. Darren Perata says Jesse Lozano was taken into custody Saturday in Tijuana after being tracked by deputies and U.S. marshals.

Lozano was reported missing June 15 from La Cima Conservation Camp in Julian, where he had been sentenced to serve until 2017. Officials didn’t say what Lozana’s original crimes were.

He has been booked into San Diego Central Jail.
