JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Authorities are trying to figure out what sparked a blaze at a senior building that killed a 60-year-old man in northern New Jersey.

Jersey City spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill tells The Jersey Journal (https://bit.ly/1OBflQj ) the fire broke out just after 4 p.m. in the victim’s fifth floor unit inside the Plaza Apartments.

Morrill says firefighters arrived at 4:14 p.m., but the victim had already died. The fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes.

Investigators didn’t immediately release the man’s identity.

There were no other injuries in the blaze.
