GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - B.J. Tyson scored 15 points with nine rebounds as East Carolina throttled Florida Atlantic 74-48 on Tuesday night to remain undefeated in three games at home.

Grant Bryant added a career-best 12 points and Caleb White had 10 for the Pirates (4-3). After a tie at 2-2, East Carolina led the rest of the way, posting a 32-14 score at halftime, the fewest points allowed by an opponent in Jeff Lebo’s tenure as coach. It was also the third time in three games that East Carolina has allowed fewer than 20 points in a half.

East Carolina pushed the lead to 55-25 with 12:08 remaining when the sophomore Bryant - who’d scored 8 points in seven games previously - wrapped back-to-back layups around an FAU turnover.

Solomon Poole led FAU with 11 points. The Owls were held to 36-percent shooting (19-53).

East Carolina shot 54 percent (32-59).
