BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Grambling quarterback Johnathan Williams, defensive star Deion Jones of LSU and Louisiana-Monroe punter Chris Qualls received this week’s Louisiana Sports Writers Association college football player of the week honors.

Williams scored four touchdowns, three passing, in Grambling’s win over Southern in the Bayou Classic that sent them to the SWAC Championship game. Jones had 11 tackles in LSU’s 19-7 win over Texas A&M and Qualls averaged 43.8 yards per punt in ULM’s narrow loss to Hawaii.
