NEW YORK (AP) - New York City’s firefighters’ union has ratified a 7-year contract retroactive to August 2010.

WCBS-TV (https://cbsloc.al/1NkuSQU ) says that the Uniformed Firefighters Association voted 254-115 in favor of the contract on Monday.

The contract calls for an 11 percent salary increase over seven years. It also restores disability benefits for firefighters hired when the union was without a contract.
