PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - City employees in Paterson will get paid on Friday.

The City Council voted in an emergency session Monday to approve a $50 million temporary budget. The plan failed to win enough votes last week.

Council members have criticized the lack of spending cuts from Mayor Joey Torres’ administration.

The Record (https://bit.ly/1StSxCW ) newspaper reports Torres says his administration will provide details about budget cuts on Dec. 15.
