NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - PATH rail service from Newark and Jersey City to Manhattan has been suspended due to police activity.

The suspension Tuesday afternoon affects the Newark-to-World Trade Center and Journal Square-to-33rd Street lines.

PATH tickets are being cross-honored on New Jersey Transit at Newark, Hoboken and New York Penn Station until the situation is resolved.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says service from Hoboken to the World Trade Center and 33rd Street is operating on schedule.
