PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Peoria have returned a stolen tricycle to its owner, a special-needs teenager.

The tricycle was stolen Saturday from the home of the teen’s family. Police returned the tricycle on Monday after they publicized the theft and a resident spotted the tricycle in a park.

The red Delta Sun EZ-3 recumbent with an orange flag attached to the back was 16-year-old Christiano Smith’s easiest way to get around the neighborhood.

Christiano is partially paralyzed and without the tricycle, his parents have to drive him anywhere he wants to go.

The tricycle reportedly sells for about $1,200.

Police say a surveillance video of the theft showed a man walking onto the home’s property and pedaling away on the tricycle,. Police say they have not made an arrest.
