POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they’re investigating the death of a 48-year-old man who was hit by a car over the weekend in the Hudson Valley.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. on Saturday in the town of Poughkeepsie.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office says Randall Housey was struck on Spackenkill Road and transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Authorities say the 76-year-old driver initially left the scene, apparently unaware she had struck someone. Deputies say she was located and is cooperating with the investigation.
