NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (AP) - Investigators are taking a new look at a decade-old case in the hopes of finding the killer who stabbed a 32-year-old woman to death in New York.

The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports (https://bit.ly/1TqgmMK ) police in New Windsor are taking a fresh look at the evidence in the killing of Nancy Smith as the 14th anniversary of her death nears.

Authorities say the circumstances surrounding her death are unclear. Her parents went to her home to check on her when she didn’t report for work on Dec. 5, 2001, when they found her dead. Her parents say nothing was taken from the house.

Detective Chris Sager says investigators believe she knew her killer and that he killer has been interviewed by police or is on a list to be interviewed.
