SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - A Spartanburg man will serve 30 years in prison without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty to murder in a shooting last year.

Local media outlets report that 21-year-old Keylan Dejuan McClintock pleaded guilty Monday in the death of 33-year-old Donald Travis Harper of Greer.

Spartanburg County sheriff’s deputies found Harper unconscious in the front yard of a home on Sept. 5, 2014. He had been shot several times and died later at a hospital.

Authorities say the shooting happened during a fight.

A second man is charged with assault and battery in the death and has not yet gone to trial.
