KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Martez Harrison scored 24 points, including a key jump shot, as Missouri-Kansas City held off Tennessee-Martin 74-70 Tuesday night.

UT Martin had pulled to 71-70 with 1:28 left to play when, after each team called a timeout, Harrison drained a step-back jump shot from 18 feet to add some insurance points, 73-70. Kyle Steward added a free throw with five seconds left to seal the win as the Kangaroos (5-2) remained undefeated at home - starting the season 4-0 at home for the first time since 2010. This is the fastest UMKC has reached five wins since 2001.

Howard Twymond and Richard Lee scored 22 and 21 points, respectively, for UT Martin (2-6) in a contest that saw seven ties and 15 lead changes.

The Kangaroos shot 51 percent. LaVell Boyd added 16 points, Darnell Tillman went 5-for-5 from the floor for 11 points, and Broderick Newbill scored 10.
