SEVERN, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County fire officials say a second body has been recovered from the debris of a house fire in Severn.

Capt. Russ Davies said in a news release that the man’s body was found shortly before noon Friday after Public Works employees removed heavy debris and secured dangerous areas.

The fire broke out early Thursday. After it was brought under control, the body of a woman was found in the debris.

Officials said the house was under construction after a fire in February that was ruled accidental.

Davies says the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore is working to identify the victims and determine the causes of their deaths.

Davies says the Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating the fire because of “several suspicious factors.”
