DAVENPORT, Fla. (AP) - A Winter Haven man has died after authorities say he was injured in a forklift accident.

Polk County Sheriff’s officials say Enrique Trevino, 41, was driving a stand-up forklift at Huttig Building Products on Friday when he became pinned between the forklift and metal shelving. No other details of the accident were released, but authorities said they do not suspect foul play.

Trevino was rushed into surgery and later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The victim’s son, Enrique Trevino Jr., worked with his father at Huttig and was by his side in the hospital.

Company officials told The Ledger (https://tinyurl.com/nwk84dy) they’ve notified the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
