NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A leg found in the Arkansas River in Little Rock has been identified as that of a North Little Rock woman who was reported missing nearly two years ago.
North Little Rock police said Friday that the leg was identified by the state crime lab as that of Shequenia Burnett, who was 36 when she was reported missing in January 2014. Police spokesman Brian Dedrick said it isn’t clear when Burnett died, but said the case is being investigated as a homicide.
The leg was found Dec. 5 on the Little Rock side of the river.
