YORK, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a Fort Mill man accused of killing a woman and then dumping her body in Chester County has been charged.

The York County Sheriff’s Office in a news release said 22-year-old John Vincent Coddington was arrested Thursday. He is charged with murder in the death of Tiffany Opal Williams. Investigators think the killing took place at a home in Fort Mill. Williams’ body was recovered in Chester County.

Chester County Sheriff Alex Underwood described where the body was found as “gruesome” to The Herald of Rock Hill (https://bit.ly/1Qi08Hg ), but declined further comment. The newspaper reports Coddington didn’t say anything about the death when he appeared in court late Thursday.

The investigation is ongoing. It isn’t clear if Coddington has an attorney.
