PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police have removed several immigration-rights activists who were protesting inside Philadelphia City Hall.

Friday’s protest targeted Mayor Michael Nutter’s plan to roll back his 2014 executive order barring law enforcement cooperation between city police or prison officials and federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the activists who were removed were trying to block two public entrances at City Hall. About 100 protesters were outside the building.

Mayor-elect Jim Kenney has said he’ll reinstate the so-called sanctuary city policy when he takes office in January.
