SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Savannah police are seeking leads in the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement that Rocquan Scarver was found with a gunshot wound near 39th and Burroughs streets on Thursday afternoon. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives say they’re working to learn what led up to the shooting, and they’re asking for the public’s help to identify suspects.
