ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. (AP) - A single-car crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway has killed one person and critically injured two others.

The accident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday on the northbound side of the parkway in Englewood Cliffs, just north of the George Washington Bridge.

Parkway police tell The Record (https://bit.ly/1RgPPDj) that a 1998 BMW flipped over after hitting a guard rail and two trees.

Police say the front-seat passenger was deceased and the driver was pinned inside. A passenger riding in the back seat was found wandering around in an incoherent state.

The two survivors were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Their names were not immediately released.

Police believe the car lost control after it hit a rumble strip on the left side of the road then veering to the right.
