EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - A Lane County jury has found a 19-year-old guilty in the shooting death of a Eugene teenager.

The Register-Guard reports (https://bit.ly/1NgX8XU ) that the jury deliberated for less than four hours Friday before finding Zachary Beauchamp guilty of first-degree manslaughter in the death of 17-year-old Justin Gardner.

Beauchamp faces at least 10 years in prison when he is sentenced on Wednesday.

Beauchamp fired two shots into a crowded apartment from outside the front door during an Aug. 30 party at the Stadium Park Apartments. One of the rounds went through the door and struck Gardner.

Prosecutors did not accuse Beauchamp of intentionally killing Gardner. They called the shooting a reckless act.

Beauchamp had told police that Gardner was his friend.
