ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police say a man has been shot and killed in Albuquerque, and they have no information on a suspect.

Police spokesman Officer Simon Drobik says officers responded to reports of a shooting late Friday, and they attempted to rescue the victim before he was transported to University of New Mexico Hospital.

The victim succumbed to his injuries at UNMH.

The victim’s name has not been released.

Drobik says officers are investigating a second 911 call that came as police were responding to the shooting.

Drobik says officer believe the second call, which came from homeowners who reported a person arrived at their home asking for help, is related to the shooting Friday night. The person who Drobik says was knocking on doors fled before officers arrived at the home.
