BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Police in Baton Rouge say a 14-year-old boy was critically wounded when someone opened fire on a car he was sitting in.

The teenager was in the passenger seat of the car Friday night when someone fired shots at the vehicle. The teen was hit in the head and chest. The driver of the car, who is 20 years old, had minor injuries.

Baton Rouge Police Cpl. L’Jean McKneely Jr. says detectives so far don’t know of a motive for the shooting.
