DETROIT (AP) - A stretch of the Lodge Freeway in Detroit has reopened hours after water surged across some northbound lanes from a broken main.

WDIV-TV and WXYZ-TV report that traffic has resumed Saturday afternoon on the northbound Lodge near the Davison Freeway.

A break in a 12-inch water main Saturday morning on a service drive caused traffic backups on the Lodge north of downtown. Detroit Water and Sewerage Department crews repaired the break.
