LINCOLN, Del. (AP) - Delaware authorities are investigating an attempted armed robbery of a store in Lincoln during which the store owner was struck with a gun.

State Police say it happened Friday evening when the owner of Kings Market was exiting the store. State Police say the man was struck in the head with a handgun and knocked to the ground. State Police say the man was hit in the face again by a suspect who demanded money.

State Police say the man with the gun and a second suspect were dragging the owner into the business when they saw the owner’s son approaching and fled.

State Police described the two suspects as black males between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing masks over their faces.
