GREENWOOD, Miss. (AP) - Leflore County’s board of supervisors has agreed to spend $250,000 as part of an effort to lure new business to the area.

The Greenwood Commonwealth (https://bit.ly/1Rh7nPV ) reports that the vote was made last week.

Angela Curry, the executive director of the Leflore-Carroll Economic Development Foundation, said a company has expressed interest in bringing as many as 65 jobs to the county with average annual salaries of about $41,000.
