THAYER, Iowa (AP) - Iowa law enforcement officials have searched two homes in Thayer as part of the investigation into the death of a woman whose body was found in a pond earlier this week.

Des Moines television station KCCI reports (https://bit.ly/1NMK127 ) that Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation agents and Union County sheriff’s deputies searched the homes Friday.

The body of 37-year-old Loretta Dillinger was found last week in a pond near Lorimor in southern Iowa. Her car was found nearby. Authorities say they consider Dillinger’s death suspicious.

Authorities say Dillinger had lived at least one of the homes searched Friday. A fire occurred at that home in September.
