SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Visitors to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum are getting the opportunity to help women and children at a Springfield women’s shelter this holiday season.

The museum has set up an “angel tree” to collect donations for Sojourn Shelter and Services.

Visitors can donate items listed on ornaments on the tree or bring in other supplies that would help the shelter. Those items include toilet paper, cleaning supplies, children’s games and books and slippers.

Sojourn Shelter and Services provides emergency housing for domestic violence victims, court advocacy, counseling and other services.

Donations are being accepted through Dec. 21.
