FINDLAY, Ohio (AP) - Ohio-based Marathon Petroleum is planning to build a $20 million hotel near its headquarters in Findlay.

The Courier (https://bit.ly/1XZ8Yc3 ) newspaper in Findlay reports Marathon will call the hotel “The Hancock Hotel.”

A company executive says the 100-room hotel is expected to open in the fall of 2017. Plans call for a restaurant, bar, meeting spaces and a ballroom. All will be open to the public.

The company says the hotel will feature European architecture and celebrate local landmarks and business history.

The hotel is part of the company’s $100 million investment in its downtown complex expansion. It also plans to add two office buildings, two parking garages and an outdoor employee work area.
