FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Police have arrested a teenager in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old during an overnight house party in Fayetteville.

Police spokesman Sgt. Craig Stout says the victim and the 17-year-old suspect knew each other and both got into an argument before the stabbing.

Police were initially called to the party early Saturday on a noise complaint. Shortly after that call, some of the party guests called police again to report the stabbing.

Officers found the victim collapsed in the front yard when they arrived. Police say the suspect fled the party but was later found and arrested.

Stout says the knife police believe was used in the stabbing was recovered.

Police have not released the name of the victim.
