FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) - The Webster County Courthouse is scheduled to reopen Monday after days of crews cleaning up from an act of vandalism.

The Fort Dodge Messenger reports (https://bit.ly/1SU58zr ) that the courthouse should operate as usual starting Monday.

Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to those responsible for extensive vandalism caused when two fire extinguishers were sprayed throughout the building’s third and fourth floors.

Officials say fine white powder from the extinguishers not only coated surfaces, but got into computers and books, which all had to be meticulously cleaned.
