SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Search and rescue crews recovered the body of a 25-year-old hunter from a remote Utah canyon where family members said he fell from a rocky ledge north of the town of Green Valley.

Carbon County sheriff’s Detective Wally Hendricks tells KSL-TV (https://bit.ly/1QFrMMV ) that the body of Zach Clements was retrieved from the Desolation Canyon area, a day after members of his hunting party hiked two hours to get cellphone service and summon help.

Hendricks says the state medical examiner will conduct an autopsy, but there’s no indication of foul play.

Family members told officials Clements was hunting mountain lion when he slipped and fell about 50 feet.

Emery County search and rescue crews and a state Department of Public Safety helicopter helped Carbon County officials retrieve Clements’ body on Sunday.
