BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - A jury has acquitted a 39-year-old man of charges that he sexually assaulted a young girl in a Bozeman grocery store bathroom.

Johnny Barreiro-Guerrero was found not guilty Friday night of felony sexual assault and misdemeanor indecent exposure after a weeklong trial.

The jury deliberated for nearly five hours.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1TIuP6k ) that following the verdict, Barreiro-Guerrero held his head down and cried. When court recessed, he hugged his defense attorneys.

Barreiro-Guerrero maintained he never touched the girl last March in the Bozeman store.
