PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say a Philadelphia-area teenager missing since last month was found shot to death in an abandoned car in north Philadelphia.

Superintendent Michael Chitwood of the Upper Darby police department said the body of 15-year-old Xavier Stern was found Friday with multiple gunshot wounds. He said Philadelphia police said they had no suspects in the case.

Chitwood said Stern had not been seen since Nov. 22, when he left his Upper Darby home after a family argument. He said Stern was on probation in an assault on a fellow school student and had been wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet, but he removed it following the argument.

Chitwood said the youth may have been sleeping in the car, which was in a neighborhood where his family used to live.
