SOMERSET, Ky. (AP) - Authorities have identified a pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle in Somerset, Kentucky.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader (https://bit.ly/1lYdzPs), 48-year-old Adam R. Moody was walking in the road along Ky. 914 in Pulaski County when he was struck by a car around 7:15 p.m. Friday.

Police said 29-year-old Misty Mitchell of Somerset was heading southbound when her vehicle hit Moody, who police say was wearing dark clothing on a road with no lights.

Mitchell was treated for minor injuries at a regional hospital. Police did not say if charges have been filed.

Moody was from Nancy, a community about eight miles west of Somerset.
