BOSTON (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting that killed one man in New Britain.

The Hartford Courant reports (https://cour.at/1RiFqHp ) that an unidentified 37-year-old man was shot shortly before 5 a.m. at 450 South Main St. on Sunday.

Officers were called to the scene on a report of a shooting, and located a man with several gunshot wounds behind a nearby business. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m., the Courant reports.

Police haven’t released the man’s identity pending family notification. City police are investigating the shooting, along with the New Britain Judicial District State’s Attorney Office.
