MILL CREEK, Wash. (AP) - Mill Creek police say someone fired shots while officers were investigating an alarm.

The alarm early Sunday morning triggered a response from officers. While they were on scene, authorities say officers heard a vehicle approach slowly, and someone began firing.

When the shooting stopped, the vehicle sped away.

KING-TV reports (https://kng5.tv/1TJRoaG ) that police are unsure whether the shooters were specifically targeting the officers.

Officers gave chase, but the driver got away. Police later received reports that the same vehicle was spotted driving recklessly and firing more shots at a shopping center.

The vehicle is described as a tan or beige lifted full-size truck with no canopy.
